What is HaereHub?
HaereHub is a school transport operations coordination layer that helps schools manage rider lists, parent changes, driver context, and daily transport records in one clearer place.
Who is HaereHub mainly for?
The primary user is the school admin team or transport coordinator. Drivers use mobile route operations, and caregivers get invite-only access limited to their linked children where the school enables caregiver access.
How long does setup take?
Setup depends on how ready the school's transport information is. A school with current student, caregiver, route, stop, driver, and vehicle details can usually move through the guided setup much faster than a school that first needs to clean up paper lists or spreadsheets. Pilot setup starts with a practical review of what the school already has.
What support is available during setup?
Pilot schools get guided onboarding support. That includes talking through the current transport setup, helping shape the first school record, checking readiness, and supporting school admin users as they prepare drivers and caregivers for invited access.
How does onboarding work?
Onboarding starts with a conversation about your current transport routines. If HaereHub looks like a fit, the school is invited into setup, core records are prepared, readiness checks are reviewed, and the school chooses when to start using the live daily workflows.
What does a pilot school experience look like?
A pilot school uses HaereHub with guided support and a practical scope. The focus is on real daily operations: usual transport plans, Today Operations, Driver Route Operations, caregiver Ride Plan access where enabled, Gate Pickup where useful, and reporting after the run.
Do parents need an account?
For caregiver-specific updates, yes. Caregivers get invite-only access limited to their linked children. They can review ride plans, submit transport changes, and see basic run status where the school enables caregiver access.
How does access work for school staff, drivers, and caregivers?
HaereHub is invite-based. School admins invite the people who need access, drivers see the route information assigned to them, and caregivers only see information for the children linked to their household. School transport data stays scoped to that school.
Can anyone sign up publicly?
No. HaereHub does not use public self-signup for school transport records. Access is created through school onboarding and role-specific invites.
Does HaereHub include GPS tracking or live bus maps?
No. HaereHub does not include GPS tracking, live bus maps, or ETA predictions. Route progress is based on recorded driver and admin actions, such as when a run starts, when students are boarded or marked no-show, and when a run is completed.
Does HaereHub optimise routes?
No. HaereHub is not a route optimisation tool. It helps schools coordinate the routes, stops, drivers, vehicles, rider plans, and daily exceptions they already manage.
Can it handle morning and afternoon differences?
Yes. HaereHub uses To School and From School journeys, so schools can manage different stops, routes, and riding patterns across the day.
Can drivers use it on a phone?
Yes. Driver screens are mobile-first, with simple route and rider information built for quick checks during daily runs.
Can it support multiple routes?
Yes. Schools can coordinate multiple routes and stops, with relevant route information visible to the right staff and drivers.
What happens if a driver loses signal?
Driver Route Operations includes offline sync support for supported actions. A driver can keep working through the route on their phone, and saved actions can sync when connection returns. Schools should still keep their normal operational judgement and backup procedures for urgent situations.
How do relief drivers work?
Relief drivers can be invited and assigned by the school. Driver Route Operations gives them the route, stop order, rider list, and notes the school has shared, so they are not relying only on a verbal handover.
What happens when transport plans change?
School admins and caregivers, where enabled, can record one-day changes such as Riding, Away, Caregiver transport, or Gate Pickup. Today Operations brings those changes into the school view before and during the run.
Can Gate Pickup be used for students who do not normally ride the bus?
Yes. Some schools use Gate Pickup only for transport exceptions, while others use it more broadly as an optional end-of-day collection process. HaereHub can record who collected a student, when they were collected, and whether they were an approved collector, depending on the school's procedures.
Is this designed for New Zealand schools?
Yes. HaereHub is shaped around practical school transport routines, communication needs, and school context in New Zealand.
How do schools get started?
Send a short enquiry with your school details and current transport setup. The HaereHub team will review it and follow up to discuss whether HaereHub could be a fit. Schools do not need to be ready to launch immediately.
